For over 40 years, Shepherd Express has been Milwaukee's alternative news weekly covering arts, entertainment, culture, dining. My illustrations were featured on weekly covers, special issue covers, and editorial features. I worked for the Shepherd as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator from 2016 to 2019, and created more illustrations than I can even feature here. Some of my favorites are “Kenosha’s Bright Future,” “Scott Walker’s Biggest Lies,” “What Foxconn Means for Wisconsin,” and “Packers 2017.”

With an estimated circulation of 58,000 papers weekly, illustrating for “the shep” was an amazing start to my career. There are fewer and fewer alternative newspapers every year, and I’m proud to have been apart of it for a few years.
